Announcements: Intramural Competitions and Incentive Programs, Research Trainings and Events

OPEN INTRAMURAL COMPETITIONS AND INCENTIVE PROGRAMS:
Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF)
The Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF) supports the establishment of collaborative partnerships within centers and institutes or between investigators from two or more diverse departments that apply for external funding opportunities. CDRF awards provide up to $50,000 per year with the opportunity for a second year of funding. Statements of interest are requested by Friday, February 24, 2017; full proposals are due in Cayuse by Friday, March 24, 2017. Institutional Training Grant Submission Incentive Program
The goal of the Institutional Training Grant Submission Incentive Program is to encourage applications to nationally recognized institutional training grant programs. (Institutional training grants are programs designed to support groups of pre- and/or postdoctoral fellows, including trainees.) Upon submission of an eligible institutional training grant, recipients will receive salary and fringe for one (1) postdoc for two (2) years. The program period for this incentive is January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. A maximum of two (2) awards will be funded during this period. Visit the OVPR website for details.

Graduate Student Dissertation Incentive Program
The goal of the Graduate Student Dissertation Incentive Program is to encourage students to apply for external funds to support their dissertation work. OVPR will provide funding equivalent to the amount of indirect costs recovered on approved dissertation awards that have used the full negotiated F&A rate. Visit the OVPR website for details.

International Travel Grants
The GW International Research Support Program supports original research and new collaborations by providing funds that may be used for international travel and/or project-related costs. Projects designed to generate new external funding, research strategies and collaborations receive the highest priority. Visit the OVPR website for more information and the application form.
