While graduate assistant positions are not awarded as part of an admissions package, matriculating public health students are eligible to apply for many on-campus assistantships. These positions within Milken Institute School of Public Health and other GW offices provide administrative or research support to faculty and staff.
Each assistantship’s responsibilities and requirements will vary, but many public health students find challenging positions which provide valuable professional development. Graduate assistants typically work 20 hours per week and are compensated with paid stipends, tuition benefits, or both.
Assistantship positions are posted on the GWork system.
