Alumnus Inspired by Students to Give $5,000 to Student Aid if 100 Students Make "I GW Public Health" pledge.
I Heart GW Public Health - Campaign for Student Support
The Public Health Student Association and the Office of Alumni Engagement will partner again this year for the second annual “I GW Public Health” campaign to raise awareness about student philanthropy and how annual giving supports the school and student scholarship. Last year more than 70 students showed their love and pledged to support future GWSPH students by joining the campaign. "The collaboration and passion felt during the I GW School of Public Health was palpable and the support received is a testament to our student’s selflessness and drive to make a difference." - Kaylynn Yankovich, assistant director of Alumni Engagement.
This year we have an exciting challenge for students. A GWSPH alumnus, Todd Krim BA '91, JD '95, MPH '95, Founder and CEO of The Krim Group, will donate $5,000 to financial aid if at least 100 students make the “I GW Public Health” pledge. Todd was moved by how many students last year made the pledge to support fellow students through philanthropy and is excited to offer his challenge to encourage more students to make the pledge this year!
Everyone is encouraged to stop by the second floor student lounge during the week of February 13 - 17 during the following times to learn more:

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a difference with your fellow classmates in one united cause—supporting the next generation of public health leaders. Check out the photos from last year's campaign.
Students today. Alumni tomorrow. Love for GW Public Health ALWAYS!
Here are just a few reasons why you should pledge your support to GWSPH:
It’ll make you happy. Research shows supporting causes you care about through philanthropy boosts your happiness and improves your health.
It’s in your nature. Giving is in our nature and it shows in the origins of the word "philanthropy." When we break it down (philos = loving and anthrōpos = man) we get love of mankind.
It’ll make a difference. Gifts of all sizes make a big impact. Last year over $1 million was raised, from donors who donated less than $100 to the university, to support the student experience.
It’ll make you proud. Giving strengthens your connection to this amazing community and when you think about how much you “love” GW Public Health, you’ll be proud to know you were a part of making this place so great.
Come learn more about philanthropy and pledge your support to GWSPH during the “I GW Public Health” campaign.
