Exercise Science

As one of only three schools of public health in the US with a Department of Exercise Science, we give students the opportunity to learn not only how exercise and physical activity affect the individual, but also how they impact the health and function of communities at large. We believe that “Exercise is Prevention” and we provide our students with research and practice opportunities in settings as diverse as the National Institutes of Health, professional sports team, the Pentagon, and the DC public school system.  Whether your career goal is to train elite athletes, to influence public health policy, or to become a health care provider, we can get you there.
