Global Health Overseas

Syrian Refugees

Each semester, faculty, staff and students from the Department of Global Health can be found around the world practicing what they teach and learn in the classrooms of GW.  Students are able to further their global public health skills and apply knowledge gained through our courses by traveling internationally to complete their Practicum requirement.

This semester alone, students will be working with international partners abroad in:

  • Cambodia
  • Indonesia
  • India
  • Swaziland
  • Zambia
  • Guatemala
  • Ecuador
  • Mexico
  • Italy
  • Switzerland
  • Rwanda
  • Denmark

Faculty and staff are engaged in projects ranging from research on child health in Nepal and Polio vaccination in Nigeria, to advising on humanitarian assistance in Syria.
