HPM Careers & Alumni
The Department of Health Policy and Management educates professionals who are well prepared to enter exciting and influential careers in this broad and dynamic field. Our graduates springboard from their degree programs to important jobs in a number of different organizations, including: health care delivery systems; the legislative and executive branches of state and federal government; health insurance plans; trade associations; non-profit organizations; drug and device manufacturers; think tanks; foundations; and private sector consulting firms. Our doctoral students also get placed in academic institutions as faculty and research scientists.
To prepare our students for employment, the department offers a variety of assistance and tools for career development, including professional development workshops, an up-to-date database of full-time, part-time and internship positions in the field, career panels, student association outreach, personalized career counseling, resume and interview seminars, and a culminating experience course that includes practice-based assignments and presentations.
