Dean Goldman and Drug Safety Expert Publish Op-ed On Meningitis Outbreak

Dean Lynn R. Goldman and drug safety expert Sarah L. Sellers have published an op-ed calling attention to loopholes in the regulatory system that led to the current meningitis outbreak. The op-ed notes that authorities have traced more than 300 meningitis cases in 16 states to a contaminated steroid drug made by a compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts. The McClatchy news service published the op-ed as did six other papers across the country including: The Boston Herald; The Sacramento Bee; The Providence Journal; The Bradenton Herald; The Alaska Daily News and The Bellingham Herald. The piece also appeared on numerous news websites.
