HealthReformGPS Answers Questions About Health Insurance Cancellations
HealthReformGPS put out a primer on November 18, 2013 analyzing the Obama Administration’s transition plan to address the situation of health insurance policy cancellations. The issue brief notes that an estimated 4.8 to 12 million Americans have received notices from their insurers saying that their health insurance policies would be cancelled at the end of 2013. In addition to providing a detailed analysis of the Administration’s plan, the primer also looks at Congressional action on this issue and details some ongoing concerns about what happens next at the state and insurance levels.
