James Weeks TabsBio For most of his career, Dr. Weeks has worked on mine safety and health, concentrating on health hazards (coal mine dust, silica, diesel particulate matter), on injuries, and on regulatory policy. He worked on similar issues in the construction industry for almost a decade also. He used to work as a machinist. His undergraduate education was in industrial engineering with graduate degrees in science and public policy (MA), and public health (MA, ScD).
