Dr. Mookherji's current research interests include: methods for evaluating interventions to improve health systems performance; using multiple case study methods for program evaluation; mapping health systems capacity and quality; tuberculosis control, urban health, and maternal and child health. Her current research work focuses on drivers of immunization systems performance and integration of reproductive health services with HIV/AIDS initiatives.
Dr. Mookherji has worked in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Denmark, Ethiopia, India, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Tanzania, Uganda and the US, and has lived in 5 of these countries. Before joining GWU, Dr. Mookherji worked for 15 years evaluating a variety of public health program areas, most recently on the Five-Year Evaluation of the Global Fund, as well as GAVI HSS, tuberculosis, urban health systems, neonatal health, and reproductive and child health.
