Kelley Vargo Reed, MS, MPH, MBA, is a faculty member, advisor, and public health professional at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she has served the GW community for more than a decade. Throughout her tenure, she has worked across academic programs, student advising, experiential learning, program development, and strategic initiatives, supporting thousands of graduate students in navigating their education and translating their learning into meaningful professional impact.

Vargo Reed brings an interdisciplinary background spanning public health, health communication, business, exercise science, health coaching, and behavior change. She holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science, a Master of Public Health in Health Communication and Marketing, and a Master of Business Administration from the George Washington University.

In addition to her work at GW, Vargo Reed is the founder of The Health Investor, a health and wellness education and coaching company built around the belief that health is one of our greatest assets. An ACE Certified Health Coach with more than 15 years of experience, she is passionate about helping individuals and organizations bridge the gap between knowing what supports health and consistently putting that knowledge into action.

Her professional interests include health behavior change, lifestyle and preventive health, health communication, leadership, organizational learning, and the intersection of health, performance, and human potential. She is also an experienced speaker and educator who enjoys translating evidence-based concepts into practical strategies people can apply in their everyday lives.

Vargo Reed is a member of Delta Omega, the honorary society in public health, and has been recognized for her contributions to the GWSPH community. Outside of work, she enjoys running, strength training, traveling, spending time outdoors, and life with her husband and their mini Bernedoodle, Roni.
