Departmental Resources for Students
As a GW student, you have many resources at your disposal through your department, the school, and the university as a whole. For a list of school and university resources available to all Milken Institute School of Public Health students, check out the Student Resources page.
Below are some additional resources (beyond what is found on the Student Resources Page) that the department has selected as being specifically relevant and useful to Environmental and Occupational Health Department students.
EOH FAQs for New Students (a document distributed at orientation) includes a listing of faculty and staff members who can help you with different questions, as well as commonly requested resources.
Download the syllabi for Culminating Experience courses (PUBH 6137 (fall) and PUBH 6138 (spring)). With the permission of Dr. Ami Zota, students also have the option of pursuing their Culminating Experience independently with a faculty advisor via PUBH 6015. Download information about requirements for Environmental Health Science and Policy and Global Environmental Health.
Attending the American Public Health Association's annual meeting is a great opportunity for learning and networking. APHA's 2018 annual meeting will be held in San Diego from November 9th - 13th.
The annual GW Research Days event, held each spring, is an opportunity for students to share results of their research. Funding is available to assist Research Day participants with printing posters. Contact the department for details.
