SPH Events focuses on and prioritizes events that align with and promote the priorities of the Milken Institute School of Public Health, and has several event venues & meeting spaces. The following spaces may be requested by the GW community, as well as external organizations. To learn more about these spaces, including capacities & rates, please visit SPH Event Venues.

With the exception of events supported by the SPH Dean's office and SPH Academic Affairs & Student Services, SPH Events does not allow events on weekends or public holidays.

Submit an Event Request

The Milken Institute School of Public Health uses the university event space booking portal for requests. Requests made by GW departments and student organizations* should submit requests using the appropriate link below. For all individuals and groups outside of the GW community, please complete the External Client Request Form. Requests for external and sponsored events submitted under 60 days from the requested start date will not be considered. Once a request is submitted, you will receive a response within three-to-four business days.

Event requests by any department & organization that owes money from a previous event will not be approved until all payments have been made.

*Student organization events must first be approved by the Office of Student Life via GW Engage before submitting an event space request.

This portal is only used for events. Step-by-step-instructions for requesting an event space can be found here; instructions for requesting a space for multi-day events can be found here.

Certain event spaces serve as classrooms, including our auditorium and lecture halls. Even if their use is academic in nature, requests must still be made via the events portal. We cannot confirm their availability nor approve requests until the upcoming semester's class schedule is finalized at the start of the semester.
