She has worked on several clinical trials as part of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network and managed two MFMU studies, which examined childhood respiratory disease and cognitive function in children aged six or older. Her other work at the Biostatistics Center consists of research regarding prenatal diagnostics, including Prenatal Cytogenetic Diagnosis by Array-Based Copy Number Analysis: Follow-up and Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis by Genomic Sequencing. She is also a co-investigator for the NHLBI-funded Clamp OR Delay among neonates with Congenital Heart Disease trial (CORD-CHD).

Jessica received her PhD in Epidemiology from the George Washington University, where her dissertation research focused on motor skills and symptoms of autism spectrum disorder in children. Her research interests include evaluating medications and interventions for safety and efficacy during pregnancy and childhood neurodevelopment.
