Dr. Jon Kim Andrus is a Professor of Global Health who teaches global vaccinology. Dr Andrus advocates for evidence-based vaccine use in developing countries. Over his >35 year career working on global health issues, Dr Andrus has held several positions, including Deputy Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and director of immunization programs in South East Asia and the Americas.He started his overseas career as a Peace Corps physician volunteer in Mchinji ,Malawi, where as District Medical Officer he led efforts for both curative and preventative health services. Dr Andrus now serves on numerous WHO advisory groups, including Chair of PAHO's Regional Verification Commission for the Measles Rubella Elimination initiative. He also holds an adjunct professor position at the Colorado School of Public Health.
