Milken Institute SPH Launches Podcast

September 28, 2018

A fan of podcasts? Check out Milken Institute School of Public Health (Milken Insititute SPH)’s new podcast titled Healthy You. The podcast, hosted by Milken Institute SPH staff Chelcie Rosborough and Matthew Golden, explores how public health impacts an individual’s health and wellbeing. Through Healthy You, Milken Institute SPH aims to bridge the academic world of public health and the health-related decisions that individuals make daily.

“We decided to launch Healthy You because our faculty constantly conduct valuable public health research that the public needs to know about,” Rosborough said.

Published every other Wednesday, each podcast episode will feature Milken Institute SPH’s faculty experts and research from the school. Topics discussed on the podcast include the health effects of sitting for long periods and the spread of superbugs. The first episode, available now, features a discussion with Eliot Sorel, MD, a Professor of Global Health at Milken Institute SPH, on why the feeling of belonging is important to humans and what we can do in our own lives to help combat feelings of not belonging.
