The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH) is dedicated to educating the next generation of public health leaders, policymakers, practitioners, scientists, advocates and managers.
Whether you’re just beginning college or seeking an advanced degree, the No. 11–ranked public health school, according to U.S News and World Report, offers students six different types of academic programs to support your educational and professional goals.
Undergraduate Programs
For students beginning their Bachelor of Science, GW offers three public health undergraduate programs and four minor fields of study to explore.
Master's
Programs
GWSPH offers over 20 stand-alone programs and several combined degree programs. Select graduate courses are also available for non-degree students.
Online
Programs
To ensure students have academic flexibility, GW offers four online programs: two master’s programs, one certificate program and one short course.
Doctoral
Programs
For researchers and public health professionals seeking a PhD or DrPH, the Milken Institute School of Public Health offers seven doctoral programs and one DrPH.
Certificates
For students and public health professionals seeking knowledge in a specialized public health skill or trade, GWSPH offers four certificates.
Summer Institute
We offer graduate students the opportunity to engage in public health topics and gain skills in this five-day summer course.
Joint Programs
GW offers five programs for students interested in combining two areas of study in a joint program or a dual degree.
