Greta is a Postdoctoral Associate whose research examines the impact of urban environmental exposures on health. She joined the Environmental Health department at the GWU Milken Institute School of Public Health in 2020 as a PhD student. In her dissertation, she used high resolution satellite imagery to measure the extent and distribution of urban greenspaces across a global set of cities and quantify the health impacts of achieving urban nature goals. Her current research topics include a study of the environmental conditions of parks in U.S. urban areas by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status, an analysis of the effects of acute nitrogen dioxide exposures on pediatric asthma emergency department visits in Washington, D.C., and a health impact assessment of road pricing policies in the district.
