(August 12, 2026) — As public health challenges continue to evolve, the Milken Institute School of Public Health is expanding its academic offerings with three new Master of Public Health programs. Applications are now open through SOPHAS for programs beginning in Spring and Fall 2027.
Whether students are interested in preventing chronic disease, combating health misinformation, or improving health outcomes around the world, the new programs are designed to prepare graduates for rapidly growing areas of public health practice.
Preventing the World's Leading Causes of Illness
Heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other chronic conditions remain among the leading causes of death worldwide. The new MPH in Chronic Disease Prevention prepares students to address these challenges by examining the biological, behavioral, environmental and social factors that shape health across the lifespan.
Students learn to develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based strategies that help prevent chronic disease and improve population health in communities around the world. Apply.
Communicating Public Health in the Digital Age
As artificial intelligence, social media and digital technologies reshape how people find health information, effective communication has never been more important.
The MPH in Health Communication & Digital Media prepares students to create evidence-based communication campaigns that promote health, combat misinformation and improve digital health literacy.
