Sasha Glass Baumann is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Global Health. She works with Dr. Emily Smith's research group (https://smithlabgwsph.github.io/) on projects related to maternal and newborn health. Much of her time is dedicated to supporting the Pregnancy Risk, Infant Surveillance, and Measurement Alliance (PRISMA) Maternal and Newborn Health study: an international, prospective, open cohort study involving 20,000 pregnant people and their infants in Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Pakistan, and India. Primary research interests include perinatal and reproductive epidemiology, quality of care, safe cesareans and abortions, and interventions to improve maternal and newborn health.
