GWSPH Master Teacher Academy Accepting Applications for 4th cohort of MTA Fellows

The GWSPH Master Teacher Academy (MTA) is now accepting applications for our 4th cohort of MTA Fellows!  We invite all full -time faculty members to apply.  Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from Monday, February 10th through Thursday, May 15th (application review will pause for the summer and will resume in Fall 2025.)

This one-year fellowship is intended to support an innovative teaching-related project of the fellow’s choosing and should be designed to improve, modernize, and/or expand teaching practices or capabilities in the School of Public Health. These fellowships are intended to challenge our faculty to identify, investigate and address specific issues that they have encountered in the teaching and learning process.

Over the course of the fellowship, faculty will develop skills and innovate solutions aimed at solving those issues and disseminate lessons learned to GWSPH colleagues. Fellows will receive mentorship provided by members of the GWSPH Master Teacher Academy (a committee of 3-4 advisees) and will be provided with financial support for project-related costs, if applicable.

The application cycle is now open and requires submission of the application via a Google form (link: MTA Fellows Program Application Form).  Additionally, please review the Call for Application document that elaborates on this opportunity.

The form link and Call for Application document can also be found on the MTA website:  https://publichealth.gwu.edu/master-teacher-academy.

The MTA will review applications during monthly meetings; as such, applicants should expect a response within 90 days of submission. Please don't hesitate to reach out to gwsphmtaatemail [dot] gwu [dot] edu with any questions!
