Dr. Abigail Garvey Wilson is an assistant professor of epidemiology.  She teaches Epidemiology: Measuring Health and Disease in the residential undergraduate program.  She has previously taught Principles and Practice of Epidemiology and Biostatistical Applications for Public Health for the online MPH graduate program.   She has been an epidemiologist in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to the biometrics piece of opioid replacement development and analyzing registry data on rare neurological diseases.  Dr. Wilson has more than 15 years of experience as an epidemiologist and research methodologist for government contracts with the U.S. military, mainly concentrating on psychological health. 

 

Dr. Wilson has co-authored more than 25 articles in the peer reviewed literature, presented at scientific conferences, and contributed as a statistical reviewer for numerous journals.  She currently serves as a statistical advisor for a start-up company developing novel Covid-19 tests.
