Kate Douglass, is an associate professor of Emergency Medicine and Global Health at the George Washington University. She completed her International Emergency Medicine fellowship and M.P.H. degree at GW in 2007, and has been on faculty since that time. Dr. Douglass completed residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Emergency Medicine after medical school at Georgetown University. She currently works as the International Emergency Medicine Fellowship Director at GW.
Dr. Douglass is specifically interested in international emergency medical systems development with a focus on sustainability, education, and cost effectiveness. She also focuses on the global impact of trauma and injuries, and implications for emergency medical systems development. She has worked extensively with international medical programs and policy initiatives, including projects in India, Peru, Ethiopia, El Salvador, and Turkey.
