Xiaoyan is a data analyst specializing in data visualization, statistical modeling, and global health research. She earned a Master’s degree in Statistics from George Washington University, with a focus on applying data science to public health challenges. Currently, Xiaoyan works at the Smith Lab in the Department of Public Health at GWU, contributing to key research projects, including PRISMA and ReMAPP. In the PRISMA study, she focuses on monitoring and visualizing complex datasets to create accessible insights for the team. In the ReMAPP study, she contributes to statistical modeling and data analysis to uncover critical findings related to health outcomes. 

Before joining GWU, Xiaoyan worked at Kantar Group, where she was involved in mobile money initiatives aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and providing financial resources to underserved populations. This experience deepened her commitment to using data to drive social change and improve access to essential services.
