Jen Skillicorn, DrPH, currently serves as the Associate Director of the GWSPH DrPH program and as faculty in the DrPH Program. She teaches PUBH 8700: DrPH Seminar and DrPH Applied Practice Experience (DAPEx), PUBH 8703 and 8705: Independent Study I and II for DAPEx and Dissertation Proposal Development, and is a co-instructor for the DrPH Immersion course. She has over 20 years of public health, policy and practice experience.

Dr. Skillicorn started working at GW in 2007 when she played an instrumental role in helping to launch the DC Center for AIDS Research (DC CFAR) and served as the Administrative Director of the DC Developmental and full CFAR from 2010 to 2016. While working full time, she also pursued her DrPH through the Department of Health Policy and Management and received her degree in 2015. Later, Dr. Skillicorn worked at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) as a Lead Analyst for HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis and Healthcare Integration, and then at the University of Michigan at the Center for Bioethics and Social Sciences in Medicine (CBSSM) as a Research Specialist. She also has work experience at a local health department, on Capitol Hill, and in philanthropy. 

Jennifer received her MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and BA from Denison University. She began her public health career in the Peace Corps where she served for two years as a health volunteer in Senegal.
