Dr. John Lachin received the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health Alumni Award for Research (December 1, 2022)

On December 1, Dr. John Lachin, Research Professor, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics (formerly with tenure 1987-2014) received the prestigious University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health Alumni Award for Research. Professor Lachin is a former Director of the GW Biostatistics Center (1988-2000; 2010-12), and Principal Investigator of the Coordinating Centers for the Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications (EDIC) and The Glycemia Reduction Approaches in Diabetes: A Comparative Effectiveness Study (GRADE), and Co-Investigator for the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study (DPPOS).
