Jaime is a Research Associate in the Department of Global Health at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. Her interests include maternal & newborn epidemiology, nutrition, and humanitarian health. As a member of Dr. Emily Smith's research team, Jaime supports the coordination of the ongoing Pregnancy Risk, Infant Surveillance, and Measurement Alliance (PRISMA) open cohort study, which has sites in Ghana, India, Kenya, Pakistan, and Zambia. The PRISMA study provides a rich global dataset for analyzing risk factors for maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
Prior to joining GW, Jaime worked at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she managed a COVID-19 vaccine outreach program for humanitarian immigrants living in Baltimore, MD. She also contributed to the IRC's 2021 Afghanistan evacuation and resettlement efforts.
