Sydney began working for ARAC as a laboratory Graduate Research Assistant in September 2021. In August of 2023, she completed her MS in Public Health Microbiology and Emerging Infectious Disease from the GWU Milken Institute School of Public Health and has since continued in her role as a Research Associate with our team. Sydney’s research focuses on the microbiomics projects, examining the role of the human microbiome in host infection and disease. Sydney is originally from Boise, Idaho and has previous research experience with membrane chromatography techniques for biologic purification, Clostridioides difficile, and the impact of bacterial biofilms in chronic wounds.
