The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine Holds Public Session on Equitable Allocation of a COVID-19 Vaccine Sept. 2

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine committee tasked with developing a framework to assist policymakers in planning for the equitable distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine will host an online session to receive public comments for a discussion draft on September 2. The committee, which includes David Michaels, professor of environmental and occupational health at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, will aim to produce a final report this fall.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit written comments for consideration by the study committee. The public comment period is open through 11:59 pm ET Friday September. 4.  Commenters will be able to download and review the discussion draft before submitting a comment through a form at nationalacademies.org/VaccineAllocationComment
