Milken Institute SPH Rises in Rankings of US Public Health Schools

The Milken Institute School of Public Health now ranks number 11, up from number 12 in the prestigious U.S. News and World Report 2023 list of the best public health schools in the nation.

Considered a global authority in rankings and consumer news, U.S. News and World Report evaluates graduate programs across numerous disciplines including law, medicine, nursing, public affairs and business. In the past few years, Milken Institute SPH has steadily gone up in this national list of best public health schools, rising from number 14 in 2015.

“I am thrilled by the rise in our national rankings this year and our increase over time,” Lynn R. Goldman, the Michael and Lori Milken Dean of Milken Institute School of Public Health, said. “The rise is an accomplishment that reflects well on our world-class research, scholarship and teaching achievements.”

More than 3,000 students from 48 states/US territories and 32 countries are pursuing undergraduate, online, graduate and doctoral degrees in public health at Milken Institute SPH. It is the only school of public health in the nation’s capital.
