PCH Faculty member Tamara Henry receives CTSI-CN funding to conduct an exploratory pilot study entitled, Black women with Fibroids: lived experience, effects on fertility and decision making

PCH Faculty member Tamara Henry receives funding for an exploratory pilot study that recognizes the disproportionate incidence and prevalence of Fibroids among Black women of child bearing age. The study is focused on Black women’s experience living with Fibroids, its effects on fertility, and treatment decision making. Dr. Henry will utilize a qualitative methodology to document the process by which Black women received their their diagnosis, learned about treatment options inclusive of effects on fertility, interacted with providers and arrived at their treatment decision.
