Savannah is a global nutrition researcher whose work focuses on improving maternal and child nutrition in low- and middle- income countries. She received her PhD in Nutrition Science from Purdue University where she researched food systems in the US, Kenya, and Tanzania. Her dissertation focused on strategies to improve dietary diversity among young children in Mara, Tanzania. As a member of Smith Lab, Savannah supports analysis of pregnancy risk factors for a cohort study of pregnant women in Ghana, India, Kenya, Pakistan, and Zambia.
