Faculty Workshop: Academic Integrity | Current Challenges & Future Planning

The GWSPH Office of Academic Affairs & the GWSPH Master Teacher Academy invite you to join them for their third and final “GWSPH Classroom Clinic” workshop series for the 2023-2024 academic year.  This virtual seminar features Ms. Christy Anthony, Director of the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities at GW.

The workshop “Academic Integrity: Current Challenges & Future Planning” will take place virtually (via Zoom) on Tuesday, May 21st from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET.

This workshop will begin with an update on the current state of affairs with regard to Academic Integrity issues, policies, and adjudication of infractions. Specifically, we will discuss the current guidance from the GW Provost on Artificial Intelligence (AI) usages, and discuss best practices for crafting syllabus language, explaining and implementing classroom policies, and addressing violations of the code of conduct.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share GWSPH-specific questions and concerns, and to learn about how the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities is responding to current issues, including those involving AI.  This will be instrumental in planning for the 2024-2025 academic year, including conceptualizing syllabus modifications you may wish to make over the summer.

We strongly encourage all GWSPH faculty to attend via this Zoom link: https://gwu-edu.zoom.us/my/canthony
