Heather Rosen is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Global Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health. She has eight years of experience in public health and research. Her current research focuses on road traffic injuries, non-communicable diseases, and capacity-building in low and middle-income countries. She previously supported the implementation of several trials of community health worker interventions to improve maternal and newborn health in South Asia and conducted analysis to evaluate health worker performance, pregnancy complications, and preterm birth. She also managed a seven-country study of maternal and newborn care at health facilities in sub-Saharan Africa using direct clinical observation. She holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University.
