Sandra Gonzalez Curran brings over a decade of experience leading diverse teams on mission-critical projects in academia, non-profits, legal and tech startups across various countries. She excels at engaging with stakeholders and communities across different cultures and fostering collaborative work environments to drive significant outcomes. As director of marcom departments for international tech and legal companies, Ms. Curran led strategic initiatives, including branding, logo design, tagline creation and website development for global markets.
In her most recent role as project manager for the Diet Disparities Lab at GW’s Milken Institute School for Public Health, Ms. Curran oversaw multiple grants, developed dissemination strategies and led social media efforts. She also coordinated a multidisciplinary research team based in Washington DC, Baltimore and Puerto Rico, ensuring compliance with rigorous NSF/NIH grant timelines and deliverables while navigating IRB requirements. As a proud Colombiana raised in the US, Ms. Curran is bi-cultural, multilingual and genuinely enjoys working with and learning from diverse people. Since joining GW, she has become passionate about reducing health disparities and addressing nutrition insecurity in minoritized communities.
